Waldner has been practicing law for over 20 years. She began her career as an in-house attorney in 1997 with Boise Cascade, where she advised on acquisitions, contracts, divestitures, banking, and securities law before switching her focus to employee benefit compliance. After Boise Cascade, she spent a year as the director of compensation and benefits for the J.R. Simplot Company.
In 2007, Cydni opened her own practice, Waldner Law Office, LLC, and spent nine years as a sole practitioner, focusing on ERISA and benefits issues. A significant part of her practice involved advising employers on fiduciary issues and retirement plans.
Most recently, Cydni served as an attorney for Hawley Troxell Ennis & Hawley, LLP, where she counseled corporate clients on compliance, executive compensation, and other benefits issues. She also negotiated benefits issues in mergers, acquisitions, and spinoffs for organizations of all sizes, including several Fortune 500 companies.
Outside work, Cydni is active as a leader in the BrushPoppers 4-H Club. She previously served on the board for the Treasure Valley Children’s Relief Nursery.
Cydni is a graduate of Harvard University, where she graduated cum laude, and the University of Montana School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree in 1997. She is a member of the Idaho State Bar and the Oregon State Bar.
