Jim Everett

Co-President, The College of Idaho
CEO, YMCA (Retired)

Jim Everett currently serves as co-president of The College of Idaho. Initially an individual candidate for the position, he saw a unique opportunity to better serve C of I’s needs and reframed his candidacy by partnering with another candidate, creating the co-presidency.

In 1974, Jim began a 41-year career with the YMCA. Over the course of 29 years as CEO of the Treasure Valley YMCA, he helped transform it from a single branch with 3,000 members to a thriving organization composed of six new facilities serving more than 57,000 members. Jim’s fundraising included successful capital campaigns that raised more than $100 million for the Y, and the rapid expansion of facilities under his leadership resulted in one of the first Y camps built in the United States in the last 50 years.

The accolades Jim has earned include St. Luke’s Light of Philanthropy, CEO of Influence, the Idaho Statesman Distinguished Citizen of the Year, Big Brother of the Year, and Salvation Army Citizen of the Year.

Jim is a graduate of Albion College and a past member of The College of Idaho board of trustees.
