| "This book shows that after 32 years of care, the Chillicothe VAMC continues to make veterans’ health care its top priority." Robert L. Turner, SFC Retired, United States Army, Chillicothe, Ohio |
Active duty, dependent, and veteran populations are particularly ready to assume greater responsibility for
their own health. When VISN 22 (VA Desert Pacific Healthcare Network in Southern California and Southern
Nevada) distributed the Healthwise® for Life book to its members:
- 39% reported avoiding a trip to the emergency room.
- 40% reported avoiding a trip to the clinic.
- 84% reported using the book since receiving it.
TriCare On-Line and My HealtheVet call for the development and use of information therapy applications to provide
each person with the tools to manage their specific "moment in care." The e-health infrastructure created to
support care within the DOD, TriCare, and VHA systems provides a perfect opportunity to address the specific
informational needs of military, veteran, and dependent populations.
Contact us to find out how Healthwise helps VISN 22, VISN 10, Tricare, and other organizations:
- Reduce overuse of outpatient facilities through better triage, self-care, and self-management.
- Reduce overuse of hospital care through improved care management and information to support decisions and improve behaviors.
- Increase satisfaction with services by providing reliable information.
