Adam C. Husney, MD

President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Medical Officer, Healthwise, Incorporated

Throughout his career, Dr. Adam Husney has advocated for patients to take an active role in their own health and health care decisions. His patient-care experience coupled with his passion for strong patient-provider relationships and informed patients has made him a respected leader at Healthwise.

As chief executive officer, Adam demonstrates his commitment to the Healthwise mission of helping people make better health decisions, his broad knowledge of evidence-based medicine, and his strong leadership skills.

Adam works closely with Healthwise product managers and with clients from the provider and payer industries to create products that meet the workflow needs of clients. He also collaborates with Healthwise’s behavior-change and plain-language experts to build Healthwise products that can help more people make the health decisions that are right for them.

Adam received his bachelor of science in neuroscience from Brown University and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Michigan and is board-certified in family medicine. Adam practiced at the Hitchcock Clinic in Concord, New Hampshire, before moving to Idaho with his family in 1998.

After joining Healthwise in 2000 as an associate medical director, Adam later served as medical director and in 2016 was named chief medical officer (CMO). Adam was elected as president and then as chief executive officer in 2018. He was elected to the Healthwise Board in 2022.
